PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives.  Breathing a higher mix of oxygen means less nitrogen loading and this is good for the body in so many ways.  Many experienced divers comment that they feel less tired whilst diving with diving with Nitrox.

Course Prerequisites

PADI Open Water Diver or above and be 15 years or older.  There are no minimum dives.

To qualify for this course there used to be 2 obligatory dives.  In recent years PADI came upon the realisation that there are no different diving techniques with Nitrox, so made the dives an optional part of the course.  This means it is the perfect winter course as it is classroom only.  The course involves a brief manual and a DVD.  At the end of the course there is a 25 question multiple choice exam.  The entire program takes 3-4 hours here in the classroom.  Alternatively there is an option to complete this course on one of our Red Sea Escorted Dive Holidays.  A great way to get a bit of experience diving with Nitrox under the supervision of one of our Oxygene Instructors.
